What courses does Nikkei offer?
In addition to the general proficiency test courses for N1-N5 levels, our school also offers intensive Japanese courses (suitable for those who want to improve their Japanese proficiency in a short period of time), children's Japanese courses (suitable for primary school students from primary one to primary four), and youth Japanese courses (suitable for students aged 11 to 11) -14-year-old students), Freetalk courses (suitable for students who want to improve conversation and listening), corporate training and individual teaching and other diversified courses.
In addition, our school will also regularly organize free cultural activities related to Japanese culture. Teacher qualifications?
Our school has a professional and strong team of local and Japanese teachers. Local teachers mainly teach N5-N3 level courses. If I have studied Japanese on my own and studied Japanese elsewhere for a period of time, can I transfer to a class with a higher level?
Students can take the time to check the textbook content at the school to confirm the appropriate class. Students who transfer to another class need to take the entrance exam. Depending on the level of the class you are applying for, if it is a course taught by a Japanese teacher, the entrance examination will also have an interview arrangement in addition to the written test. What is the Qualifications Framework?
The Qualifications Framework is a qualifications level system established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to promote lifelong learning and enhance the skills and competitiveness of Hong Kong's workforce. The Qualifications Framework is a seven-level qualifications hierarchy covering qualifications in the academic, vocational and professional and continuing education and training sectors. There is a sound quality assurance mechanism under the Qualifications Framework, which mainly confirms the level of further education courses and ensures their quality through the accreditation work of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.
What is the relationship between the Qualifications Framework and the Continuing Education Fund?
Starting from April 1, 2023, all Continuing Education Fund courses must be approved by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications and successfully registered under the Qualifications Register. In other words, courses that are not included in the Qualifications Register have been registered in April 2023. You will lose the qualification to apply for reimbursement from the Continuing Education Fund from the 1st.
If students intend to apply for the Continuing Education Fund, they must choose courses that are included in both the Qualifications List and the list of courses eligible for reimbursement from the Continuing Education Fund. Are there any exams in the course?
Each unit of our school has an internal examination to assess students' ability to absorb the course. Students must also obtain a passing score (50% or above) in the examination before they can continue to register for the next unit of course.
What to do if you are unable to attend the exam day?
Students can make an appointment to take a make-up exam, but the make-up exam must be completed before the start of the next unit.
What should I do if I fail the exam?
Students can make an appointment to take the "follow-up test", which should be completed before the start of the next unit. Those who pass the follow-up exam can continue to take the next unit course. However, if they fail the follow-up exam, the school will recommend that students retake courses of appropriate level to consolidate their foundation based on the student's actual situation.
What should I do if I am unable to return to school for one class?
In order to ensure that students can keep up with their learning progress, our school provides one free video make-up lesson for each unit for students to make up for the learning content on the day they missed class.
What should I do if I want to change the class time?
Our school considers one unit to be a complete course. If the class time needs to be changed during the course of the unit, you can go to the payment office to apply for class transfer. How can I apply for documents proving my studies in Japanese?
When students complete the entire level course, pass the exam and meet the attendance rate, the school will issue a graduation certificate to the student (graduates of Qualifications Framework recognized courses can receive designated certificates for Qualifications Framework courses).
If you have not completed the entire course and need to apply for relevant certification, you can apply for a certification letter from our school.
